THANK YOU! We are thrilled to announce the success of our recent Reach For It! event, a unique recreational program tailored for children and youth with possible or diagnosed Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
This past Sunday, we had the privilege of partnering with Dufferin OPP and Orangeville Fire to host our REACH for It! event. The turnout was fantastic, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Officers, Auxiliary Officers and Firefighters; without them, this event would not be possible. Your support and enthusiasm were pivotal in creating a welcoming and positive environment for the children and youth involved.
A special thank you to Zehrs for their remarkable contribution to the event, providing food, supplies, snacks, and drinks. Your generosity helped ensure that everyone enjoyed a delightful experience.
Together, we are making strides in building a supportive community that fosters understanding and compassion for children and youth with FASD. Thank you once again for being a part of this meaningful initiative!
The primary goal of the Reach For It! initiative is to forge and strengthen positive relationships between young participants and local law enforcement and first responders, including police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. By allowing these emergency services personnel to engage positively with children, we create a powerful connection between our youth and community first responders.
